Kiln Formed Glass and Glass powders, ranging from 1” X 2” to 7” X 4” individually, 5 ft to 3 ft full installation, 2016 to 2017

Large-scale installation of 300 organic glass pieces that show movement down a wall to the floor. Each piece was made blindly in a sand mold to question to artist in the art making process. 

Investigating my material. Thinking about how far you can push the material, these sculptures are created to force the viewer to ask questions; to step outside their normal world and enter a completely different world. “Creating glass sculptures that don’t look like glass”

Mixing baking soda and glass to record the movement of glass during the process of making. Glass in its molten state that inspired me to created my first video pieces based off of how glass moves in its last breathe of life.

Experimentation of a Larger new land form

Each glass component is unique. Due to the nature of the process, each “Land Form” is created by the natural movement of glass. Investigation of the movement of glass, the layers formed within different colors and incompatible glass.

Using Viteography printing, a series of embossing’s made from a detailed drawing of unique types of fungus.

These pieces highlight the decay of materials, Rust, creating a painting of change. They become a daily dairy, causing new formations and investigations on the natural decay of life. 

Five different rust paintings each one varying in size, each piece is displayed on the wall

 “Decay Vitrines” display the unwanted as beautiful and gives an insight into the parts of life we have no control over. Each box creates a new diary of life and each day I take photos of the changes and watch each piece of food transform into something new.  The process of changing states in relation to how we develop and change as we as humans is what interests me.
